Where is Niku Kitchen.Sushi.Bar located?

Niku is at 11543 Sylo Xing, Zionsville, IN 46077, inside the Sylo Xing development on the Zionsville and Carmel border. We are about twenty minutes north of downtown Indianapolis and a short drive from Carmel, Westfield, and Whitestown.

What are Niku's hours?

Monday through Thursday we serve lunch 11:30 AM to 3 PM and dinner 5 PM to 10 PM. Friday lunch runs 11:30 AM to 3 PM and dinner 5 PM to 11 PM. Saturday we are open continuously 11:30 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday noon to 9 PM.

Do I need a reservation at Niku?

Reservations are recommended, especially for weekend evenings and the eight-seat sushi counter, which fills first. Reserve online and we will confirm by email, or call 317-973-8091.

Does Niku serve lunch?

Yes. Lunch service runs 11:30 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday, with continuous service Saturday from 11:30 AM and Sunday from noon. The lunch menu covers sushi, maki, donburi bowls, and hot plates.

What is omakase at Niku and how much does it cost?

Omakase means "I leave it up to you." The chef chooses each piece, cut to order at the sushi counter. Niku offers a nine piece nigiri omakase for $70 and a fifteen piece sashimi omakase for $80, at the counter or your table, with an optional sake pairing. See the omakase page for how it works.

Does Niku offer private dining or event space?

Yes. Niku has a private dining room for up to 24 guests, an eight-seat chef's counter that can be reserved for private omakase dinners, and full restaurant buyouts for up to 120 guests. Details on the private dining page.

What kind of food does Niku serve?

East meets west Japanese cuisine: sushi and sashimi from a dedicated counter, charcoal-fired robata including A5 Miyazaki wagyu, signature maki, donburi, and composed entrees, alongside a craft cocktail and sake bar. Browse the full menu.

Does Niku have vegetarian or vegan options?

Yes. Plant-based dishes include spicy garlic edamame, the Niku signature salad, the Naked Veggie Roll with asparagus, beech mushroom, and black truffle, agedashi tofu, and a rotating sorbet. Tell your server about any dietary needs and the kitchen will guide you.

Does Niku have a bar?

Yes. The craft cocktail bar takes Japanese spirits seriously, with a sake list spanning junmai, ginjo, and daiginjo, Japanese whisky, and signature cocktails. See the drink menu.

Very. Sylo Xing sits right on the Zionsville and Carmel border, so Niku is a short drive from Carmel, Westfield, and Whitestown for sushi, omakase, and wagyu without the trip downtown. See directions from Carmel and from Westfield.
