The Bar

The best seat is the bar.

Craft cocktails, sake, and Japanese whisky, with the kitchen and sushi menus served right at the bar. No reservation needed; walk-ins are always welcome at the bar.

The Program

Built on sake, poured with intent.

The bar at Niku runs the full width of the program: craft cocktails built for the kitchen's flavors, an artisanal sake portfolio spanning styles from crisp to rich, Japanese whisky and shochu, a focused wine list, beer, and a proper set of non-alcoholic options.

Every seat at the bar gets the full menu, from a quick maki and a beer to wagyu and a pour of whisky. The chef's omakase is served at the table, so ask for a table if that is the plan. It is Zionsville's answer to driving downtown for a good cocktail.

Close to Everywhere

Minutes from Carmel, a world from a chain bar.

Niku sits at Sylo Xing in Zionsville: about fifteen minutes from Carmel, twenty from downtown Indianapolis, and closer still from Whitestown and Westfield, with free parking at the door. If the night calls for one good drink and a few pieces of nigiri instead of a full production, this is the room.

Full tables can be reserved online; the bar itself is kept for walk-ins, seven days a week.
